Where Do You Read?

I was in NYC not too long ago, and I noticed a man who was reading and walking on the sidewalk at the same exact time.  I immediately became a little bit jealous.  I wish I had the coordination to walk and read like that.  Think about how high my  yearly reading challenge would climb! I always have a book on me (either in my car or in my purse) and feel weird if I don’t, but that doesn’t mean I always take it out.

So today, we’d like to ask you where your favorite place to read is, and what was the most non-traditional place you took out your current read?

As always, here’s what a small sampling of your fellow librarians have to say:

Jessica, Adult Services: Favorite Place: One the porch with a cup of tea or margarita Strangest Place: Waiting at the pharmacy

Joseph, Adult Services: Favorite Place: On a couch Strangest Place: The sidewalk

Chris, Adult Services: Favorite Place: On the deck Strangest Place: In a tree house

Katie, Adult Services: Favorite Place: In a hammock Strangest Place: At a concert

Gina, Youth Services: Favorite Place:  The sun, either on the beach in the summer or by a window with the sun streaming Strangest Place: Under her desk during breaks

Anna, Youth Services: Favorite Place: The living room floor in front of the couch Strangest Place: Bus stops
