Livingston’s annual Youth Appreciation Week starts on Monday, September 12th, and the Youth Department will be hosting exciting programs next week to celebrate kids of all ages!
Emerging readers in grades K-2 can register to read to Hunter the Therapy Dog during Paws to Read on Monday, September 12th. If you miss out on a slot this week, don’t worry – Hunter will be back each month through December!
Our youngest patrons and their caregivers are invited to join us for Play & Learn on Tuesday, September 13th, where toddlers ages 12-24 months will visit different stations to develop their fine and gross motor skills through games and activities.
Tweens and teens in grades 6-12 can stop by on Wednesday, September 14th to pick up a take-home suncatcher craft kit. These fun kits will be available on the Teen Desk while supplies last.
The first Fall session of everyone’s favorite Musical Storytime returns on Thursday, September 15th! Children ages 2-5 and their caregivers will enjoy a magnificent medley of music and storytelling: songs, picture books, puppet shows, dance parties, drum circles, egg-shaker jams, and so much more!
We are very excited to host Explore Little Al Dinosaur on the evening of Thursday, September 15th. Children in grades K-5 will love being a paleontologist for the day: feel a real dinosaur egg, hold dinosaur bones, touch a dino tooth, and help us put together a 3D interlocking puzzle of Little Al the Allosaurus!
On Saturday, September 17th, teens in grades 8-12 can register for Introduction to Python. Bring your own laptop and learn all about Python from an IBM software developer.
We are extremely grateful to the Friends of the Livingston Library for making our programs possible. Thank you, Friends!
